Kathmandu (3 Jan 2024) — Omoda & Jaecoo Automobile Co. Ltd. is gearing up to launch its flagship variant, Omoda 5 EV, in Nepal. To provide an exclusive product introduction and specification release of this innovative electric vehicle, the China team of Omoda conducted a dedicated online livestream event on December 28, 2023.
Hosted by Ryan Wang, Brand Manager and Caypan, Managing Director of Omoda Nepal Business, the livestream event took place in China, with distinguished guests from the Sharda Group and media in attendance through an online livestream.
The Omoda team released significant strides with its high tech features and, safety, modern design on the Omoda E5. Omoda E5 will be launching in Nepal with 180 mm ground clearance which claims to be the best in segment among its competitors. It will be available with 61 kWh battery capacity with 99 KW Motor Power and 340 Nm torque providing 510 Km (NEDC) and 430 Km (WLTP) range.
Omoda E5 boasts a revolutionary design with X-shaped front face, dynamic fastback shape, staggered matrix taillights, T-shaped daytime running head lights catering to ‘Light of movement’ exterior design concept. While it provides exhilarating body shapes, it provides elegant yet futuristic interior with 24.6 inch dual screen, 256 colors ambient light, chrome door handle with premium 8 sony speakers, electric sunroof, 50 KW wireless charger, ventilated seats, and 17 ADAS features like – Blind spot detection, Lane Change Assist (LCA), Departure reminder, Adaptive Cruise Control, Front collision warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Jam avoidance Assistant, 6 airbags and others. Omoda claims to provide users with rich sense of experience to meet the different needs their customers. It also provides users with the ultimate fast charging in just 28 minutes from 30%-80%.
To ensure a seamless ownership experience, SPG Automobiles plans to expand its infrastructure and service network in Nepal. The vehicle has been optimized for Nepali landscapes and roads.
